The Port Chester Council for the Arts, Inc. seeks members of the community with an interest in the arts (no professional experience required) to volunteer with us.

Committees

We have four committees where your time and expertise are welcome. Committees meet four times a year or less. At least one board member serves on each committee.

  • Arts/Programming: Develop new programs, schedule events and coordinate the production of each event. These range from theatrical productions to musical performances and visual art shows.
  • Education: Work with our education director to fine tune the artist-in-residence program Literacy Through the Arts offered in conjunction with the Port Chester Public Schools. Organize and plan the annual NATIONAL ARTS IN THE SCHOOL DAY, including outreach to other school districts.
  • Fundraising: Create opportunities to raise and sustain funds to support the PCCFA’s programs. Primary fundraiser is the Annual Appeal in April.
  • Marketing: Define and promote the PCCFA’s programs to the community and the media. Increase awareness of who we are and what we do, as well as attract audiences to all of our events. Support the other committees in their promotional work.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

We can use behind-the-scenes help with all of our theatre productions, including set construction, stage crew and lobby/house management.

To volunteer with us in any of the above capacities, please email us at [email protected] or call the office at 914-939-3183.
